The aim of the Level 4 Diploma in Law is to provide learners the opportunity to acquire a broad range of knowledge and understanding and develop a range of skills essential for a successful career in law. There is also the opportunity to progress to a higher-level qualification in law. The suite of qualifications in this sector will aim to provide the underpinning knowledge of the law contributing to preparation for the Solicitors' Qualifying Examination.

The aim of the Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law is to allow learners to choose their academic path by completing a Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Law. This qualification provides the knowledge and understanding required for further legal education or employment in the legal sector.
Qualification Title: Certificate Level 7 Law

Progression routes: Level 8 Diploma; university to complete a master’s degree; or employment in an associated profession.
The overall aim of this qualification is to provide non-law graduates with a grounding and knowledge of foundation law subjects which will provide a sound basis to continue further in a law career. This is not a preparatory programme for the Solicitors' Qualifying Examination (SQE) examinations but is aimed to provide a basis for further legal study and/or training.
The qualification is aligned with aspects of the SQE to provide learners with a foundation in its various domains.
